My name is Dr. Jason Burke and the topic we will be discussing today is “can I get braces with a missing tooth?”
The answer is yes, you can get braces. Some patients are born with adult teeth and other patients lose adult teeth due to cavities or sometimes periodontal disease. Sometimes we can go ahead and close the space with other teeth by substituting them while sometimes we can’t. If we can’t substitute a tooth we go ahead and open up the appropriate amount of space and work with other dental specialists or dentists to go ahead and have an implant placed, a bridge placed, or a partial denture in place; whatever is most aesthetically pleasing to the patient. Thank you very much for your time and I hope you enjoyed our video today.
