Hi, my name is Dr. Muhammad Abey and I’m here to answer the question “Why is the glue around my braces turning yellow?”
Actually there is nothing that you need to do about it. The purpose of the glue is to hold the braces to the teeth and the glue must cover part of the teeth as well. This little part stains easily with food and drinks. The purpose of the glue covering some of the teeth is to make the braces hold well to your teeth so when you’re chewing, the braces can tolerate the pressure of the stuff that you’re not supposed to chew like gum or apple. Remember one thing, while wearing braces you must brush your teeth really well and floss well. I don’t recommend you spend any further money to remedy this common issue. Those braces are temporary and they will come out so don’t go crazy about the yellowing of the glue. It is normal. Thank you for watching this video and have a good day.
