Are you passionate about dental care and looking to make a positive impact? Diamond Braces is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant Radiographer to join our team. As a vital member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for a range of crucial tasks under the direct supervision of our attending doctor, making a positive impact on our patients’ oral health. You will contribute directly to the seamless operations of our dental practice and ensure a high-level of patient care and customer service at all times.

This position is Full-Time and may require late evening and weekend shifts. This position requires an individual to be available for an on-call schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clinical teams, office admin/management, and treatment coordinators to drive patient care and a high level of customer service at all time
  • Perform sterilization and disinfection procedures in accordance with established guidelines
  • Prepare dental equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established regulations and guidelines
  • Document and ensure timely delivery of lab cases with attention to detail
  • Perform basic dental lab duties including the fabrication of Essix retainers
  • Assist with the preparation of patient care areas including patient seating and dismissal
  • Capture diagnostic records including x-rays, scans and photos as prescribed by a licensed dentist, and as appropriate based on individual qualifications and regulations
  • Assist Clinical Assistants
  • Remain current by completing assigned educational courses in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Active dental radiology license or certificate in the state of practice
  • Knowledge and understanding of dental terminology, techniques and procedures
  • Certificate in dental assisting from The Dental Assisting National Board or other state accredited dental assisting program is preferred
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds

Licenses & Certifications

  • Dental Radiology License – Required
  • Dental Assisting Certificate – Preferred
  • CPR Certificate – Preferred
NJ PA CT
• Licensed as a DRT by the NJ Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners • Must pass the DANB RHS Exam • Completion of DANB RHS Exam
• High School Diploma or equivalent • Hold a Dental Radiology License in the state of PA • Must hold a Dental Radiology License in the state of CT
• Knowledge and understanding of dental terminology, techniques and procedures • Complete 3 hrs of training in child abuse recognition and reporting • You must have either already completed the DANB ICE Exam, or willing to complete during first 12 months of employment
• Certificate in dental assisting from The Dental Assisting National Board or other state accredited dental assisting program is preferred • High School Diploma or equivalent • High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 25 pounds • Knowledge and understanding of dental terminology, techniques and procedures • Knowledge and understanding of dental terminology, techniques and procedures
