Essential Functions
- Prepares dental equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established regulations and guidelines
- Obtains diagnostic records ordered by a licensed dentist including intra-oral and scans/photos
- Prepares tray set-ups for dental procedures
- Provides patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist including polishing with rotary instruments
- Creates entries in patients' medical records as directed by the treating dentist
- Provides patient education including care instructions
- Prepares and documents lab cases ensuring timely delivery
- Must complete assigned educational courses in a timely manner
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties to support the team in delivering an exceptional patient experience
Requirements
We have several options for our Dental Hygienists in NYS, as outlined below. Please note the quoted pay scale is representative of our RDH position, and you may fall within a different pay range based on qualifications and experience.
- Registered Dental Hygienist
- Associate Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Valid Dental Hygiene License in NYS
- Dental Hygienist Limited Permit
- Associate Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Dental Hygiene Limited Permit on pathway to full licensure in NYS

- CPR Certificate
- RDH License
Work Experience
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Current and continued compliance with continuing education requirements to maintain license/certification
- Knowledge and understanding of dental terminology, techniques, and procedures
- Associate Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
